Introduction

Imagine . . .

. . . if a century from now, humankind looked back and said, "THAT was one of the most intelligent and important steps humanity has ever made! ! !"

. . . what would "THAT" be?   . . . Think about it!

   If all of humanity could do ONE simple thing NOW that would achieve the greatest good for the greatest number, and for the Planet . . . what is "IT" that we could all do for ourselves and our World?

"THAT" is a World Peace Treaty signed by every individual in the world . . . transcending all boundaries, with each and every individual seeing the World as a whole.

A World Peace Treaty that begins at the grassroots level . . . with You and Me, and continues until it encompasses the Whole World . . . a Peace Treaty that helps to define the true meaning of Peace as more than the absence of conflict, not a place to get to, but a place that you come from, a natural state of being that is our God-given birthright.

Peace means clear air and clean water as much as it does the absence of kids killing kids in our schools, or men and women on the battlefield.  Peace is a feeling, a spirit, and a universal vibration.  Let us reconnect with our deepest truth, peace and compassion for all people everywhere.  Let us look at ourselves as the human family that we are, sharing our Earth-home with each other.

  Throughout the ages, the quest for peace has inspired humanity to reach beyond what we know from our past conditioning and create something brand new . . . to move beyond aggression and create a platform where violence is NOT an acceptable means of solving our differences.

As we have entered the new millennium, we are challenged to co-create true personal and planetary peace.  The Vision of the World Peace Treaty is to create a global referendum, which empowers the emerging generation to become peacemakers.  Peace is the path to true freedom for ALL of humanity and the Earth.  By creating a unified voice for Peace through global education and celebrations, the World Peace Treaty empowers everyone everywhere to embrace the rights and responsibilities of Peace.

Much thought and consideration has been given to the wording of the Peace Treaty in order to say the most with the least amount of words and in the simplest way possible.  Using the Constitution as a model, "We the Inheritors" is noted as being part of a bigger whole, but the signing by each person is taking individual responsibility to embody Peace as a way of life.  It will be translated into every language.  Signing the Peace Treaty will be the first step of many to adopt PEACE as a way of LIFE for the entire Planet!
